Part-Time Accountant – Remote Role with Training in St. Louis
Hourly Pay: Up to $30/hour

Additionally, we offer tax preparation and planning services, helping our clients navigate complex tax regulations and maximize savings.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support multiple clients by managing day-to-day accounting tasks and assisting with financial reporting, tax preparation, and planning. This is a remote position, but candidates must be available to meet in person during the training period in St. Louis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and tax compliance and be proficient in QuickBooks (Online and Desktop).
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting and Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements.
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Track and categorize expenses, ensuring proper allocation to projects or clients.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
Tax Knowledge and Preparation:
- Prepare individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and credits.
- Handle sales tax filings and compliance.
- Provide support for tax audits or inquiries from federal and state entities.
Client Support and Communication:
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial data and documents.
- Organize and maintain client files and task lists.
- Liaise with state and federal entities on clients' behalf when necessary.
Payroll Management:
- Process payroll and ensure timely payments, including compliance with payroll tax regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with experience managing multiple clients.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop (certification is a plus).
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll, general ledger functions, and tax compliance.
- Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the construction industry or other project-based industries is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with a fractional CFO or accounting firm.
- Knowledge of additional accounting tools (e.g., Xero, Bill.com).
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports for clients.
