Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff members to enhance their skills and improve overall team performance.
- Oversee the POS system operations to ensure accurate transactions and efficient service.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain quality control of food preparation and presentation.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote restaurant offerings and increase customer engagement.
- Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting processes as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in a restaurant setting, preferably in fine dining.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
- Strong knowledge in liquor, wine, beer and spirits.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations gracefully.
- Experience with staff training and development is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Passion for coffee or specialty beverages is a plus.
