Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and drink orders while offering recommendations and upselling items when appropriate.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
- Handle cash register transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns or special requests.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure all guests receive prompt service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or fine dining is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Proficient in basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
