Job Title: Accountant
Department: Finance
Reports To: Controller
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: The Accountant is responsible for a wide variety of duties including A/P, credit card transactions, account reconciliations, month end closing process, AJE, and General Ledger accounting.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare, balance, and reconcile daily sales and contributions into the General Ledger.
- Troubleshooting and communicating with managers and others about discrepancies in daily reports.
- Reconciliation of monthly company credit card transactions
- Responsible for all AP process
- Process weekly AP vendor payments.
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors.
- Reconcile Foundation trust accounts
- Assist in month and year end closing
- Assist in compiling monthly reports and FS.
- Maintain monthly balance sheet schedules.
- Develop and maintain regular reports via the company’s accounting system.
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation.
- Other related responsibilities as necessary to accomplish department objectives.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to sit for long periods
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to deal effectively with stress
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree required, bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- Minimum of three years in intermediate level accounting
- Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to proficient Excel skills.
- Above average organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to maintain confidentiality for all financial matters.
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Ability to act courteously and effectively and to conduct with the highest standard of professionalism.
- Ability to maintain excellent departmental and inter-departmental relationships.
- Must be a motivated self-starter who needs minimal supervision.
- Maintain a safe and productive workplace for visitors and staff.

- Full time
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Occasional weekend work or evenings may be required
