What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-26 School Year: Secondary Science Teacher position at The Calhoun County Online Application Consortium?
The Michigan Youth Challenge Academy is a non-traditional program offering at-risk males and females ages 15 1/2 through 18 an opportunity to graduate high school and realize positive life changes through an intensive five and a half month residential and 12-month post-residential program. Operated by the National Guard with educational services from Marshall Public Schools, the Academy runs two cycles annually, beginning in mid-January and mid-July.
Job Qualifications: Position requires a valid Michigan secondary certificate with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Candidate must hold endorsement in Science (DX) and/or Integrated Science (DI) based on completion of a group major (or group minor with successful completion of Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC)).
Salary: Per Marshall Teachers Association Contract
Contract Year: 184 days
