Executive Assistant – Campus Health and Wellbeing

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Campus Health & Wellbeing (AVP), this position is responsible for providing highly skilled, administrative, analytical, and technical support to CH&W to carry out the department’s goals and initiatives. This position will be responsible for assisting with departmental communication, interpretation of policies and procedures, data entry and tracking, event coordination, scheduling, and general office duties. This position will also provide support in analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of various administrative operations to support the overall operations of CH&W. Administrative operations include assessment, data analytics, and reporting in relation to the various areas within the department. The incumbent uses judgment and initiative in anticipating the needs of the AVP and other members of the CH&W management team and investigates, analyzes, and resolves problems as they arise. This position maintains confidential information and provides and communicates public solutions on a wide range of business services and operations issues related to CH&W, Student Affairs, and other University partners.   

Department Summary

The purpose of Campus Health & Wellbeing (CH&W) is to help students achieve and maintain academic success and lifelong health and wellbeing by providing timely and appropriate primary and acute health care, disease and injury prevention education, professional mental health, outreach, educational services and campus consultations.

• Strong ability to interpret, communicate and apply policies and procedures independently and use sound judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist.
• Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
• Ability to use tact and diplomacy to effectively handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities, and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.
• Ability to initiate, establish, and foster communication and teamwork by maintaining a positive, cooperative, productive work atmosphere in and outside the University with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a diverse population and with those from various cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Education and Experience

• Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university. One year of technical or administrative experience. A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $65,000 - $78,850 Per Year

Classification Range: $46,548 - $89,856 Per Year
