Description
The Farm Worker's role is to work closely with the Lead Farmer and Farm Assistant to maintain TCAH farms. This includes manual farm work, guiding volunteer groups, supervising the Green Teen participants, and assisting with the general operation of the farms. Farm Worker must give a brief oral or written report of tasks completed to the Lead farmer, operate farm stand, and ensure all farm data received is passed to their direct supervisor.
Position Requirements
Monitor
- Oversee tasks given to Green Teens; ensure all tasks are done effectively and in a timely manner.
- Monitor volunteers, school groups, corporate groups, foundations and non-profit organizations while they're in the space. Ensure each volunteer signs in before leaving.
- Other duties as assigned
Manual Labor
o watering, seeding, transplanting, harvesting etc.
o Ensure chicken needs are met by harvesting eggs, feeding chicks and cleaning coop and run.
Farm Stand
Salary Range $16.50 / Hour Competitive based on experience.
