Job Description:
General Summary: Provides support to the Manager of Procurement by transporting and delivering items amongst worksites.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous professional driving experience preferred.
Other: Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
- This role will cover the West Michigan route as well as the Flint & Lansing route as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Drives CHC vehicles to reach destinations to make deliveries. Load vehicles and ensures goods are loaded correctly, taking precautions with hazardous materials. Unload and sort items collected along delivery routes. Receive messages or materials to be delivered, and information on recipients such as names, locations, telephone numbers, and delivery instructions. Plan and follow the most efficient routes for delivering goods. Deliver documents, packages, and other items between worksites and other locations.
Function as a team member by expanding his/her responsibilities as directed by management to facilitate optimal workflow within the cancer center.
Communicates and interacts with peers and other departments in a manner that is viewed as having a positive effect on patient services and CHCWM staff morale. Interacts effectively with patients/family members and demonstrates sensitivity in regards to cultural diversity, age specific needs and confidentiality.

Work Environment:
Able to walk approximately one mile per workday. Able to lift 75 pounds. Able to sit/drive for at least 2 hours at a time. Able to freely bend/stretch and load vehicle with boxes and packages.
