Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Patient Care Technician facilitates the clinical staff-patient encounter by assisting with the clerical activities essential to the office visit. Helps the clinical staff maximize his/her clinical role improving patient flow and satisfaction.
*We will hire either a Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant for this role*
Desired/Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Specific skills & abilities
Two years of work experience in similar job or work environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assures completeness of the medical record by reviewing and gathering all relevant documents (i.e. laboratory results, radiology reports, correspondence from outside physicians, etc….) in preparation for the office visit.
2. Obtains vitals, reconciles medications and allergy list, documents depression score and completes falls risk assessment through patient interview and documents in EMR.
3. Maintains environment including disinfecting, stocking, etc.
4. Demonstrates a constant awareness of the clinical care environment readily responding to the needs of patients, families, physicians and other members of the team.
5. May be pulled to work at other CHC sites based on clinic and patient needs.
6. All other duties as assigned.
