JOB TITLE: IMAGING COORDINATOR
SUMMARY: Responsible for managing and coordinating echo vascular imaging services, ensuring efficient workflow, collaborating with team members to facilitate timely and high-quality imaging services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical imaging processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
REPORTS TO: Non-Invasive Services Director
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Imaging Workflow Coordination: Schedule and coordinate imaging procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of testing rooms and staff availability.
- Patient Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff to provide clear appointment instructions and address any inquiries.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate appointment records, generate reports, and assist in audit preparation.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: Associate or bachelor’s degree.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a medical imaging or cardiology office is highly desirable.

Knowledge of medical imaging terminology and compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ACR standards).

ENVIRONMENTAL / WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff, patients, and the public. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Variety of standing, sitting, walking. Able to lift as required. Work may require hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility to complete errands or deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity for using a calculator or computer keyboard.
