Summary
As a Resident Aide at The Care Center of Honolulu, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' daily activities and personal care needs. Your contributions will be essential in fostering a compassionate environment that promotes recovery and enhances the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in engaging with activity-based programs tailored to their interests.
- Monitor residents' health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Ensure that residents' rights are upheld while providing compassionate care.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Experience in dementia or memory care preferred.
- Strong understanding of resident rights and advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of vital signs monitoring is a plus.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is beneficial.
