About the Role - This role oversees the dynamic interdisciplinary team and works closely with leadership to ensure compliance and excellent patient care. Key responsibilities involve budgetary and management, leading the team's activities, providing clinical direction, and ensuring compliant growth and profitability. The role drives teamwork, leads by example, and focuses on quality care.
Responsibilities

- Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments
- Ability to supervise others appropriately
- Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting
- Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory administrative experience in hospice
- Expertise and hospice background for multiple sites preferred
- Knowledge of guidelines governing agencies
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred
- Active patient contact within the past three years, preferred
- Optimizes the capital structure and support strategic initiatives
- Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety, and emergency management
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding infection prevention, control, standard precautions, and infection identification reporting
- Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations
- Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
- Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes and increases or decreases in volume that could impact staffing levels, revenues, or expenses
- Assists in The Care Team's development of goals
- Develops, recommends and administers policies and procedures
- Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and hospice care; shares information with appropriate organization personnel
- Maintains current knowledge and ensures compliance with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations
- Provides effective staff management that includes opportunities for development, training, and feedback to promote high morale and ensure clinician needs are met
- Provides guidance and counseling to Clinical Team Leads to assist them in continually improving all aspects of Agency, provided through The Care Team personnel
- Manages clinical teams and planning as well as developing skills and techniques in evaluating the performance of clinicians
- Provides help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care to all clinical personnel as indicated
- Develops, implements and evaluates the orientation program for new personnel
- Responsible for orientation of new personnel, directly or delegated
- Establishes the responsibilities and qualifications for clinical positions
- Submits requisitions for vacant or additional headcount positions and conducts candidate interviews before making the request to hire to the recruiting team
- Approves direct report timecards
- Conducts Personnel Discussions as needed when performance issues are present and works with HR to document and resolve
- Develops clinical policies and procedures for the delivery of patient services
- Incorporates QA and QAPI principles into clinical service delivery
- Participates in program planning, identifying new program areas, establishing policies and procedures related to service delivery and evaluation of hospice programs
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
