Description College Intern LOWELL PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Position: College Interns (Engagement Center)
Reports to: Director of the Student Resource Center, Engagement Center Site Managers
Dates of Employment: School year 2024-2025
2 hours per day (afternoon-evenings), M-Th when school is in session
Duties / Responsibilities: Act as part of the instructional team for students receiving tutoring support at the Engagement Center part time program
Provide tutoring support for students completing online academic classes toward graduation Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of the Student Resource Center or Engagement Center Site Managers
Salary: $20 per hour for 2hrs per day Requirements /
Qualifications: Must be 18 years old and be willing to complete CORI (criminal record check) and fingerprinting (if have not completed in the past)
Experience working in programs with youth
Some college required (do not need to have completed degree) Education or related major preferred
Experience working with students with special needs preferred
Experience working with students learning English as their second language preferred Bilingual candidates proficient in Khmer, Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish are encouraged to apply.
