Overview:
The Divisional Cost Manager will perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Assistant Controller – EM Distribution & SCM, to successfully analyze product cost & inventory for executive management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- The Cost Accounting Manager monitors, analyzes and reports on costs and variances related to materials, labor and overhead spending
- Assists in the monthly closing process
- Prepares ad-hoc reporting for senior management
- Ensures standard costs are accurate and updated as necessary
- Creates efficient senior management summaries for all plants to highlight and analyze findings
- Develops and implements procedures in writing to standardize costing and analysis of product output costs
- Assists accounting with additional accounting related responsibilities and projects as needed
- Prepares and reports analysis on operational performance and budget/forecast variances to strengthen cost controls, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies
- Oversight of the cost accounting function at all plants
- Manages the analysis of inventory related accounts on a monthly basis and ensure all required entries are recorded with the allowed closing time
- Manage & develop Cost Accountant
Minimum Requirements:
- BAC Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Ten plus years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment while taking on progressively larger assignments
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Resource Planning Systems (JDE) & Financial Consolidation & Planning Software (Ex – Adaptive Planning & Oracle)
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
