Project Scheduler – Facilities & Infrastructure Projects
Location: South Plainfield, New Jersey
Position Type: Full-Time (Hybrid – up to 3 days a week in the office)

Position Overview
CARIAN is seeking a Project Scheduler to support a major facilities capital improvement program for one of our utility clients. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of scheduling experience in construction or infrastructure projects who’s ready to make an impact on complex, multi-site programs. You’ll be responsible for building and managing project schedules, coordinating with diverse teams, and helping keep high-visibility projects on track.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to gather updates and adjust timelines
- Track schedule performance, flag risks or delays, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Prepare and deliver regular progress updates, look-ahead reports, and stakeholder presentations
- Ensure alignment of schedule data with overall project controls and reporting processes
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in project scheduling, ideally within infrastructure, facilities, or construction programs
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Solid understanding of scheduling best practices and critical path method (CPM)
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to client and job site locations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
