Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support residents with mobility and transportation within the facility.
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes to nursing staff or management promptly.
- Uphold resident rights by treating each individual with respect and dignity.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement.
- Provide first aid assistance as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a retirement home, assisted living facility, or nursing home is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with systems related to medication administration and care plans is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial for ensuring resident safety.
- A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and care for all residents is essential.
