The Details:

They are looking for an experienced Inside Broker to build their Property and Casualty coverage product. Successful candidates must be able to produce and manage a profitable book of business through a referral agent only, limited distribution model.

What will you do:

• Identify, market, negotiate, quote, bind and confirm new and renewal business with appropriate insurance coverage for clients by utilizing available markets.
• Independently work with assigned distribution channels to appropriately select risks, evaluate and recommend structure, services and pricing to achieve a balanced portfolio and long-term profitability.
• Maintain strong business relationships to drive consistent opportunities for new business placement, as well as retain existing accounts.
• Be well versed in Brokering Primary Property and Professional risks, as it affects our primary business.
• Ensure submissions reflect accurate data and implement appropriate action.
• Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry and sales ideas through regular attendance at workshops, seminars, literature reviews and/or formal continuing education.
• Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.

What they are looking for:

• Minimum 3 years of insurance experience specifically brokering Property coverage lines. Property values ($1,000,000 to $20,000,000 TIV)
• Minimum 3 years of insurance experience specifically brokering Primary casualty
• Must have and maintain Strong carrier relationships.
• MUST be entrepreneurial
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to quickly establish and build healthy working relationships, exceeds in mentoring relationships
• Drives for results and takes initiative to help support the team
• Ability to quickly learn and work in various technical platforms
• CIC, CPCU, RPLU, or professional insurance designation strongly preferred, or working to same.
• Professional, analytical, and adaptable attitude
• Ability to organize, self-prioritize, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment with demanding internal and external deadlines.
• Currently licensed and in good standing as a general agent. Surplus lines preferred.
