Description
The Carlstar Division of Titan International is looking for a Distribution Center Controller based out of the Franklin, TN corporate office. This role, reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, will be responsible for oversight of the accounting and financial reporting function for the U.S. distribution center network, including all financial analysis and reporting including metrics analysis and collaborating with operational management. The successful candidate in this role will have a strong background in accounting and operations with experience in manufacturing and/or distribution logistics, excellent leadership and communication skills, detail oriented, and understand the need to ensure accuracy and integrity in our financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Director of FP&A, oversee all financial operations of the distribution centers, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Assists with the month-end and year-end close processes, and annual audit
- Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to ensure optimal performance and cost control
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with operations and senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Assist with management of inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation and reporting
- Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Provides guidance and support to other members of the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a manufacturing and/or distribution logistics environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and JD Edwards systems
- Strong organizational, mathematical, and attention to detail skills required, including ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
