Job Summary:
Monday - Thursday, 4pm-8pm
9 Week block, twice per year
The Concessions Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the concession stand operations for the Carolina Miracle League. This includes managing cashiers, cooking and prep areas, ensuring cleanliness, maintaining product quality, providing excellent customer service, and upholding safety and food handling standards. The Concessions Manager must demonstrate reliability, maintain excellent attendance, and be available to work an event-based schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Operations:
· Develop and implement policies and procedures for concession operations.
· Recommend pricing and project income and expenditures for events.
· Perform opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately.
Staff Management:
· Train and motivate concession staff to ensure high performance.
· Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels during events.
Sales and Customer Service:
· Develop strategies to increase sales and enhance the guest experience.
· Ensure service expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
· Greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly and efficient service.
Inventory Management:
· Ensure adequate stock levels and place orders to replenish inventory as needed.
· Verify inventory counts before and after events to maintain accuracy.
Safety and Cleanliness:
· Oversee food safety and workplace safety standards.
· Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to health regulations.
Cash Management:
· Handle cash transactions, including receiving payment, making change, and balancing registers.
· Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience in basic food handling, sanitation, customer service and cash management is preferred.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic knowledge of operating procedures, product pricing, and inventory control.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work a set schedule, including nights.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
· Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
· Regular pushing and pulling of carts weighing up to 150 pounds.
· Frequent stooping, kneeling, and reaching to access supplies and products.
· Continuous exposure to loud environments and food production machinery.
· Ability to adjust focus and use peripheral and close vision for stocking and operating equipment.
· Regularly communicate effectively in a noisy setting.
Work Environment:
· Primarily indoor work in environments that may be moderately cold or loud due to event settings.
· Occasional work in small spaces or crowded areas with thousands of attendees.
· Prolonged periods on concrete floors during events.
