Are you a masterful communicator with a flair for design and a passion for technology? Join our client's dynamic global IT organization as their Executive Communications Lead and play a pivotal role in shaping their narrative and fostering trust across stakeholders.
In this high-impact role, you'll collaborate closely with IT and business leaders to craft compelling stories that inspire, inform, and influence. From drafting executive communications and visually stunning presentations to establishing brand identity, you'll ensure the messaging resonates and aligns with the company's strategic vision.
* Start Date: May 2025
* Duration: 6 months W2 with potential extension or conversion to full-time employee
* Location: Remote from US, supporting Pacific time zone hours
* Pay Rate Range: W2, Market rate -- negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Communication Strategy: Define and execute our IT communication strategy across channels like email, intranet, town halls, executive meetings, video, and presentations.
- Executive Communications: Author and design high-impact communications for the CIO and IT leadership, including walking decks, town hall materials, QBRs, and stakeholder updates.
- Visual Storytelling: Develop polished, visually compelling decks that simplify complex topics and make data and strategy engaging and accessible.
- Branding: Establish a strong, cohesive brand identity for IT. Lead the creation of a new visual language and templates for our communications.
- Internal Campaigns: Conceptualize and manage internal campaigns supporting key IT initiatives, transformation programs, employee recognition, and platform rollouts.
- Channel Optimization: Evaluate and evolve our communication channels (email, intranet, Slack, videos) to ensure message clarity and engagement.
- Metrics & Feedback: Measure the impact of communications, seek employee input, and continuously improve our efforts.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in executive communications, corporate communications, or related roles, preferably within IT or technology organizations.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messaging for executive, technical, and non-technical audiences.
- Strong design and visualization skills – proficiency in PowerPoint required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Figma a plus.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex business and technical topics into clear, engaging narratives.
- Experience developing internal brand identities and communication frameworks.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
