Job Overview
The Carriage house is seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The Carriage House is a privately owned wedding venue with a focus on esthetics and a great customer experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscaping and make the grounds look beautiful! This role involves performing various tasks related to landscape maintenance, lawn care, and overall groundskeeping to ensure that our facilities are well-kept and visually appealing.
While the main role is maintaining the venue grounds, the role also involves farm work on the surrounding beef cattle operation.
Duties
- Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to promote healthy grass growth.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, and weeding.
- Maintain flower beds, gardens, and other landscaped areas by watering, mulching, and removing debris.
- Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Maintain small engine equipment for proper operation.
- Farm fence repair and tractor work.
Skills
- Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques and practices.
- Experience with lawn care procedures including mowing, aeration, and fertilization.
- Familiarity with power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Strong knowledge of garden maintenance including planting, pruning, and pest control.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics in outdoor spaces.
- Experience with outdoor equipment such as tractors and excavators.
- Experience with livestock is not required but is an asset for the role.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
