JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for leading HR initiatives on a professional level and works closely with the Payroll Manager and Director of HR. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas : benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance, as well as other HR functional areas. The HR Manager will interact with external and internal stakeholders, delivering HR systems and processes to drive business performance and client satisfaction.Find and implement ways of making HR tasks more functional and efficient.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide training and coaching those results in ensuring effective performance within the business.
  • Work within a highly collaborative environment, be a subject matter expert, and help make each team member the best version of themselves.
  • Assist leadership to develop and drive a productive, talent focused, retention and employee engaged culture.
  • Positive Employee Relations programs that result in higher morale, lower turnover, and increased employee engagement.
  • Performs benefits administration : Conducts open enrollment, addresses benefit questions from employees, and communicates benefits information to employees.
  • Continue strong relations with vendors and brokers; leverage relationships to derive maximum benefit.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports, analyzes data, determines trends and create solutions based on quantifiable information.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Works in partnership with the Payroll Manager / team to meet goals and objectives set by the Director of HR.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.), from a technical college or university in a business or HR discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of professional experience in the HR field including benefits, employment law, policy creation / implementation, and performance management.
  • 3 years of management leadership experience
  • Experience in multi-site, multi-state preferred.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence, and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • HR Certification (HRCI / SHRM) PHR or SHRM Certification preferred.
  • Experience with ADP HIRS preferred.
