What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) position at The Cat Doctor of Dover?
Privately owned Cat Doctor of Dover cultivates a familiar and friendly atmosphere, where everyone feels involved and committed to the best possible care, we can give cats and their families. We are seeking a full-time, certified veterinary technician to join our growing care team.
We highly encourage CE, and provide on-the-job training for assisting with medical appointments/procedures, abdominal ultrasounds, echocardiograms, and surgery. Candidates should possess their technician certificate and be proficieny in;
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Dental prophies
- Surgery and anesthesia
- Obtaining and running various diagnostics
- Digital radiograph
- Experienced with AAFP Cat Friendly/Fear Free feline handling
- AviMark, EzyVet, and/or Cubex experience a bonus
- DEA & OSHA compliance
Time spent outside work with family or friends is important, so we offer a 4-day work week with no nights/weekend. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
