This is not your normal Vet assistant job, not a nice vet office, we do not see clients, we treat and care for our own 800 cats and sometimes up to 300 kittens during kitten season. Its hot during the summer, cold in the winter, if you are looking for that sweet Vet office job this is not the job for you, if you love cats and are a hard worker, like to learn, then this job might be a good fit for you.
Local Non Profit cat rescue is looking for a Vet assistant, does not need to be certified. Minimum 1 year Vet asst. experience needed. Need to be proficient at fluids, medicating and be very comfortable with cats. Must feel comfortable working on your own, following directions and critical thinking. Don't apply if you don't like cats! Must be willing to scoop boxes, clean cages and do general clean up like dishes & moping. Must be available ALL weekends $16.50 per hour to start. Approx 35 mile drive from Fresno, must have car or ride daily. We are hiring part time with the potential to go full time. This including weekends and holidays 6-8 hours per day, could include approximately 32-40 hours per week. Training will be 40 hours a week for the first few weeks. Please email resume.
