Position Summary: The Granite Fabricator will set up, polish, edge, cut and inscribe all granite products as provided for by the Memorialization Program Manager.
Compensation Data: Non-Exempt; hourly: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour based on education and proven experience
Travel: None
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare granite on cemetery grounds in the granite shop for fabrication and inscription.
- Prepare granite from marking template/stencil for fabrication, polishing, and or cutting.
- Inscribe granite.
- Operate tow motor.
- Operate overhead crane.
- Inscribe crypt fonts.
- Prepare stencils.
What you will need to succeed:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet and or exceed deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail
Education & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to three months experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test
Competencies:
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test
- Ability to use hand tools for inscription
- Ability to regularly lift and or move up to 75 lbs.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing and walking
- Frequent use of hands and arms
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, and or bending
- Close vision, distance vision color vision and depth perception
Work Environment:
- On-site in person Monday through Friday 7:15 am – 4:30 pm, occasional Saturday during busy season.
