Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead engaging music lessons for 1st–5th grade, incorporating singing, instruments, and core musical concepts.
- Foster musicianship through music, movement, speech, and drama using diverse teaching methods.
- Organize and direct concerts, giving students opportunities to showcase their musical growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, contribute to school events, and maintain communication with families.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and active learning.
- Participate in professional development and maintain required certifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (in Education or Music), required
- Masters Degree (in Education or Music), preferred
- 3 Years of Elementary Music teaching experience
- Piano proficiency for classroom instruction and basic music theory skills
- Choral directing experience
- Guitar skills and/or instrumental teaching or performance experience
- Orff, Kodly, or Dalcroze training
