Bill of Materials Costing Associate
We are seeking a skilled Bill of Materials Costing Associate to join our team at The Cavco Family of Companies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain multi-level BOMs for manufactured housing units.
- Work with the Costing Department to ensure accurate unit BOM maintenance.
Detailed Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed cost analysis within established BOM file formats. This involves identifying materials through physical review, software reports, and interaction with material purchasers and assembly line personnel.
Maintaining Excel files for periodic physical inventory of materials is also a key aspect of this role. Additionally, the individual must be able to analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Generic homebuilding material knowledge.
- Able to work with BOMs utilizing drawings or other information without physical audits.
- Mid-level Excel file writing knowledge.
- Versatility in verbally interacting with multiple levels of personnel.
- Ability to electronically research materials within our accounting system.
