What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide Full time 8AM- 5PM Every other Weekend position at The Cedars?
Full Time 8 AM - 5PM Dietary Aide to work in Long Term Care Units. Must be able to work every other weekend.
Assisting Nursing staff at meal times to serve our residents and keep kitchen stocked and cleaned for our residents.
Basic food service knowledge.
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, government agencies/personnel, and public and to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
Must be physically able to carry out the physical demands listed below.

Must work every other weekend
Able to lift and carry more than 30 lbs., withstand extreme temperatures, hot and cold
Able to work long hours, including some evenings, weekends, holidays, and as needed.
Able to interact positively with people of all ages.
Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.
Able to deal with frequent interruptions.
Aware of the possibility of falls, burns from equipment, cuts from knifes throughout the workday and works to perform duties in a safe manner.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Primary responsibility is to prepare food items in the prescribed method for residents meals. Must ensure that all food products have been prepared correctly before serving. Serve the residents in accordance with the planned menu to ensure that residents receive high quality, adequate and accurate foods.
