We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are processed efficiently and accurately, facilitating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of customer service and food safety while contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for guests.
Duties
- Coordinate and manage the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to address any order discrepancies or special requests.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards throughout the service process.
- Support bussing duties as needed, helping to clear tables and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Help deliver food to proper tables for servers when needed.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in roles involving customer interaction.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Strong communication skills are required to effectively liaise between kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
