What You’ll Do: Provide effective customer service and support through in-depth knowledge of company products, programs, and services. Dispatch ready mix concrete in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Talk with customers by phone and enter data into computer system.
- Solicit future orders from customers and enter order into computer system.
- Negotiate with customers’ acceptable delivery times to prevent lost orders.
- Document customer complaints and forward to Dispatch Manager and/or Sales Representative.
- Dispatch orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate with drivers and direct them to delivery locations.
- Work directly with surrounding areas to better service customers by utilizing multiple plants and look to share trucks.
- Ability to multitask and stay focused while dealing with various contractors, salespeople, dispatchers, and other personnel.
- Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned by the Dispatch Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED).
- Three to five years related customer service experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer skills for entering orders.
- Communicate in a positive and helpful manner with a variety of customers.
- Ability to read and understand maps.
- Required to be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Speaking Spanish is preferred.
- Basic math required – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Basic computer skills required.
