Position Summary :

This Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting tasks for The Center Club under the leadership of the Director of Finance and Administration (DOF).

Job Duties :

Accounting procedures and tasks related to Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Daily Cash Reconciliation, monthly tax computation and remittance
Backup to Human Resources for payroll processing for the entire company
Enter and post the weekly payroll registers into the general ledger
Assist the DOF with the Financial Statement preparation (i.e. monthly and quarterly financial reports, weekly forecast to Management Team summarizing current and projected financial position.)
Month end closing (i.e. balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements).
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
Assist Director of Finance with annual financial and 401K audits by serving as company liaison with auditors.
Produce financial data for management team upon request and assisting with other special accounting projects when requested
Perform analysis of operations on a monthly basis.
Ensuring all active projects are covered by valid, binding contracts.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business-related field preferred.

2 years progressive accounting experience in public accounting or similar work environment.

2 years of experience processing payroll.

Strong organization, oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Strong computer proficiency required, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as experience with accounting software.

Experience with general ledgers.

Possess analytical skills with particular attention to detail.

Understanding of hospitality business environments.

Work in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to talk or hear.

The incumbent frequently is required to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools and controls.

The incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Competitive pay, range for this role is $28.00 / hr to $30.00 / hr

Full-time, non-exempt role with a work schedule of Monday - Friday 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm - no remote work, all on-site
