Medical Assistant
Full Time Job (40 hours/week)
Hours:
- 7:30AM-4:00PM- Monday-Friday
- No weekends, No Holidays.
Orthopedic Medical Assistant
The Center for Advanced Orthopedics (CAO) is a busy orthopedic practice located in Maryville, IL. We are looking for a highly-qualified, motivated individual to join our professional team and assist our orthopedic surgeons and nurse practitioner with day-to-day involvement of the practice. The ideal candidate will be friendly, proactive and be able to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Certified Medical Assistant license preferred.
Responsibilities:
Ensure daily operations both clinical and non-clinical run smoothly and efficiently.
- Provide excellent and compassionate customer service
- Help room patients and obtain necessary vital signs
- Assist in documenting patient's medical history into EMR when needed
- Complete all assigned patient requests/tasks in a timely manner
- Assist with in office procedures such as setting up injections, dressing changes, assisting with casting, etc.
- Assist the needs of 2-3 providers in a busy clinic setting to ensure patients are seen in a timely manor
- Be a TEAM player!
Qualifications:
High School Diploma Required
Certified Medical Assistant license preferred but not required.
Orthopedic Experience preferred.
- Superb customer service.
- Experience in orthopedics preferred, but not required.
- Valid Medical Assistant License preferred
- Ability to work independently with little direction.
- Possess excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and technology skills.
- Maintain professionalism in all aspects, including daily interactions and communication with patients, physicians and staff, as well as a professional appearance.
- Attention to detail, organized, ability to learn quickly and multi-task.
- Must be able to pass background check
- References will be required if chosen for an interview.
Hourly wage:
Hourly rate depending on experience. Starting at $16.00 an hour
