We are seeking a reliable Patient Experience Coordinator/ Concierge to join our Team.
Full-time / Monday through Friday
Part-time / Weekends only
We are seeking bright, extroverted individuals with an interest in assisting patients as a customer service /amenities professional. The Patient Experience Coordinator serves as the liaison between patients, families, and our team members, following patients throughout their healing journey ensuring patient satisfaction and customer service are provided at a level of excellence.
Weekend requirement: Must be able to work every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- The Patient Experience Coordinator position serves as a resident advocate
- The Patient Experience Coordinator facilitates smooth functioning of the unit through collaborating with the nursing staff to ensure the needs of the residents are addressed in a timely manner
- Successful candidates will be highly motivated and energetic, responsible, friendly and generally like working and assisting with the elderly and disabled
- Check room prior to admission and ensure that the area is clean and ready for the new resident utilizing room checklist
- Welcome new admissions upon arrival and escort to the room
- Call new admission's family member to let them know that the resident arrived and is settling in and to introduce yourself
- Act as an advocate for residents and families in your designated unit and around the building when needed
- Conduct customer service feedback surveys to improve the quality of care for the residents
- Respond to all call bells in a timely and professional manner
- Report any issues to unit supervisor and administration
- Answer telephone, takes messages, reports requests and alerts appropriate staff to problems or questions
- Responds quickly to residents/significant others requests and refers to appropriate member of the care team, if necessary, and informs resident of actions taken and/or anticipated delays
- Promotes positive team work with co-workers and across departmental lines
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills
- Proven experience as concierge; experience in Nursing Homes or Medical facilities is an advantage
- Proficiency in English; multilingual is strong, preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Polite and confident with a great deal of patience
- Ability in multitasking and time-management
- Aptitude in resolving issues with a customer-focused orientation
