Job Overview:
The Center for Discovery is currently seeking an AAIE (Animal Assisted Intervention and Education)
program assistant. This position will assist in the care and maintenance of AAIE program animals,
gardens, and facilities. This position will also support the AAIE program by facilitating AAIE educational
curriculum and assisting with therapeutic sessions with pediatric and adult groups. This position must
demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor, be responsive to feedback from supervisors and
be willing to learn animal handling techniques to support clinicians and education staff during sessions.
In addition to animals, candidates will also regularly interact with agency staff and children and adults
with developmental disabilities.
