What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Driver position at THE CENTER FOR DISCOVERY INC?
The Center for Discovery is currently seeking a Driver. The Driver will be responsible for picking up employees and taking them to work safely. The Driver is accountable for daily safety inspections, ensures vehicle is clean and fueled for any trips, communicates with employees and other drivers, lifts and transfers people with disabilities, and will participate in special requests and/or events.
Qualifications:
· Must have a valid New York State driver’s license.
· If assisting the Transportation Department with med trips the driver must have a CDL B with passenger endorsement on his/her license.
· Experience working with disabled children and adults. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
· A high school diploma or equivalent GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.05 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
