Job Overview:
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional ensures the safety and well-being of each individual assigned to their care. This position is responsible to be a support and resource that ensures consistent carryover and monitoring of programming to all staff working with residents in both the classroom/day program and residential setting. The QIDP assists in the training of direct care staff and will serve as a communication liaison between the Day Program, Program Coordinator, direct care staff and residents. The QIDP ensures compliance with Federal, State and The Center for Discovery policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field, along with at least one year of relevant experience at The Center. The role requires individuals who are proactive, have a strong desire to lead, possess excellent communication skills, and are self-motivated. Candidates should be capable of training staff and understand the value of a team-based approach. Flexibility in work hours, a strong interest in professional growth within the agency, and effective time management skills are also essential.
