Position Summary

The Innovative Admin reports to the Director of Innovation and Advocacy to assist with efforts in building meaningful support for advocates with emphasis on finding new possibilities for growth. Through outreach, person-centered approaches, and advocacy driven projects, the Innovative Admin will lead groups virtually and through in-person forums. Innovative Admin will work out of the New York office part-time on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with the facilitation of innovative workshops and education development.
  • Assists with outreach efforts to build community partnerships.
  • Participates in weekly department meetings.
  • Assists with identifying and developing relationships with external sources and peer organizations to enhance advocacy efforts.
  • Supports department with communication strategies via flyers, email, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Performs other related tasks or projects as assigned.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively with others.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • High School or AA Degree with interest in the social science field preferred.
  • Demonstrates commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay Rate

$20.00 per hour

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
