We are an ambulatory surgical center committed to providing high-quality care to our patients. We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years account payable experience with purchase order payment processing. The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in medical billing, insurance EOB and patient payment posting.
Job Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process invoices, verify approvals, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Match invoices to purchase orders.
Accounts Receivable:
- Post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review explanation of benefits (EOB's) for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in payments or rejections.
- Work closely with billing team to follow up on payment issues.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient and financial information
- Support the overall operations of the medical office by performing additional administrative tasks as needed.
Administrative Duties:
· Adapt to additional office tasks and assist daily administrative needs as required
Requirements:
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or relevant certification a plus).
- 2 year experience in medical billing or payment posting.
- 2 year experience in accounts receivable
- Familiarity with EOBs, insurance billing and medical terminology.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
