The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Child Care Worker. Our mission at CFPA is to help all people – women, men, and children, live free from violence and abuse, and our child specialists help to bring that mission to life.
The Child Care Worker will provide domestic violence crisis intervention, educational and recreational services to children at CFPA, in individual and group settings. They will help provide children with emotional support and non-therapeutic individual domestic violence counseling and group activities in order to promote self-reliance and positive self-esteem and to teach nonviolent conflict resolution skills, and provide information to parents on issues of domestic violence, community resources, and parenting skills.
They will also answer crisis hotline calls, assist with casework, and additional tasks in our domestic violence shelters.
Preferred education of an associate's degree in education, social work, counseling, or related field.
Must be passionate about CFPA’s mission, work well independently and as a team, and have exceptional soft skills.
