What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Specialist position at The Center for Prevention of Abuse?
Grant Specialist – Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a compassionate and go-getting individual to join our team full-time as the Grant Specialist at our main campus in Peoria. Our mission at CFPA is to help all – women, men, and children, live free from violence and abuse, and the Grant Specialist plays an important role in fulfilling that mission.
The Grant Specialist is responsible for developing grant and proposal initiatives including searching for appropriate funding opportunities, researching potential applications, writing and editing proposals, preparing reports, and coordinating efforts for grant success alongside the Director of Grants Administration.
The Grant Specialist will maintain accurate data and timely documentation for the agency and funding source reports. The Grant Specialist will also develop and implement innovative research, data collection strategies, and reporting tools to enhance output and outcome measurements, and represent CFPA at community groups and organizations to enhance grant development as assigned.
Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and/or equivalent years of experience. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional grammer and organized, succinct writing style using data-driven research, work well independently and as a team, and be able to work under tight deadlines.
