POSITION TITLE: Development and Donor Relations Associate – ASCPA and GASF
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Director of Individual Development FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Purpose:
The Development and Donor Relations Associate serves as a key development team member and an active participant in expanding the base of philanthropic support for Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts (ASCPA) and the Great American Songbook Foundation (GASF). This position is part of a Development Team serving both the GASF and Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts (ASCPA) and is responsible for developing and executing multiple fundraising campaigns and cultivation/stewardship events focused on individual donors for both organizations.
The successful candidate will help forge new relationships locally and nationwide to build and expand individual donor base for both organizations. The primary function of the Development and Donor Relations Associate is as an individual giving solicitor of broad based and mid-level giving.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

- Implement and lead individual giving campaigns as assigned by the Director of Individual Development. Duties include writing content, creative direction, developing communication plans, social media strategies, requesting web page creation/updates, creating registration processes, Asana requests, etc.
- Manage a portfolio of ASCPA broad based and mid-level donors ($500-$2,499) and prospects, focusing on cultivation, solicitation, retention, and stewardship. Write and serve as signatory for broad based acknowledgement letters prepared by the Administrative Team.
- Create and implement a structure for acquisition campaigns to bring new donors to ASCPA and the GASF. Duties include writing content, creative direction, developing communication plans, social media strategies, requesting web page creation/updates, creating registration processes, Asana requests, etc.
- Utilize Tessitura software to track and engage donors and prospects
- Actively use and manage the GiveSmart account or other software used by the department (text messages for stewardship, event reminders, event surveys, registration forms, gift renewals, solicitations, etc.)
- Maintain and monitor ASCPA Development webpages related to giving process, donor benefits, and stewardship
- Coordinate and execute donor retention, recognition, and stewardship events, working closely with the Director (includes invitation creation, registration processes, event logistics, etc.)
- Provide budgets and expenses to Administrative Team for tracking and reporting
- Collaborate with the Administrative Team who oversees broad-based and entry-level individual donor strategies for up-tiering existing donor relationships
- Demonstrate motivational and problem-solving capabilities with a high degree of integrity, ethics and dedication to the mission of the ASCPA and GASF
- Participate in annual budgeting cycle as a member of the development staff

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, arts management, communications or business preferred
- Minimum of three years in a previous non-profit fundraising or for-profit business development position; seeking those with experience specifically in individual fundraising, broad-based giving, and event planning
- Previous experience using CRM and/or fundraising platform (i.e., Tessitura, Raiser’s Edge, Sales Force, etc.)
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc. and requires accountability for our core values of Inclusion, Excellence, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation.
Travel
Occasional local travel to meet donors and prospects
Supervisory Responsibility
This position includes no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt position that includes working some nights and weekends as requested, including at concerts, events and outreach events for ASCPA and GASF. Standard office hours during the week are 8:30AM-5:00PM. Flexibility is required. Full Benefit Package available, including 10 days of paid Family Care Leave per fiscal year.
