Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct industrial cleaning duties as necessary, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain floors through regular care practices such as buffing and waxing to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, reporting any repairs or issues that require attention.
• Handle custodial responsibilities in both residential and commercial settings, adapting cleaning methods as needed.
• Maintaining outdoor areas.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
• Follow established protocols for cleaning equipment and materials to maintain safety and effectiveness.
• Room Setup and Clean Up (Tables and Chairs)

Requirements

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred, with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Ability to perform floor care tasks including buffing, waxing, and general maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
