Job Summary   The Manager will provide oversite and direction of the Behavioral Health Urgent Care/WINMAT, managing a multidisciplinary team that provides same-day, behavioral health services to individuals who are needing acute mental health services and substance abuse treatment.  This program is designed to provide early intervention services to individuals experiencing a non-psychiatric crisis and addiction and is designed to divert individuals from ERs, hospitals, and incarceration.  Assists with linkage to care in all other programs including by providing same-day assessment of needs.  Provides supervision to identified staff.  Ensures goals and objectives specified for the program are achieved within the agreed-upon time frames.   Assists the team in identifying the needs of our clients and quickly screens, assesses, and diagnosse the client and provide appropriate treatment. Regularly engages in community outreach and educates community providers about the program. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center services and WINMAT and provides clinical oversight. Develops and implements health programs and initiatives in line with the organization’s objectives. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the program and makes necessary adjustments or improvements. Collaborates with healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and other staff to ensure the success of the program. Manages the program’s budget. Ensures compliance with health regulations and standards. Provides leadership and guidance to staff. Identifies and addresses issues or barriers that may affect the delivery of the program. Conducts research to stay abreast with latest trends and developments in healthcare.   Other Job Duties & Responsibilities Participates in various standing, functional, and ad hoc committee groups. Assumes supervisory functions in the temporary absence of other supervisors and managers. Other related duties as assigned   Knowledge   Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Therapy and Counseling — Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance. Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Continuum of Addiction Care —Knowledge of principles of substance abuse treatment and harm reduction including medication assisted treatment and peer support.   Skills   Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.  Embraces a philosophy of accepting the person served without judgment. Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others. Service Orientation — Actively looking for ways to help people.  Identifying ways to improve the client/patient experience Social Perceptiveness — Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.   Abilities Oral Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem. Deductive Reasoning — The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Written Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Inductive Reasoning — The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).   Job Qualifications LISW-S or LPCC-S is licensed in the state of Ohio. Demonstrated leadership of high-performing teams in a community behavioral health setting.   Physical Demands/Work Environment   This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms.
