About the Role
Job Summary
The Bilingual Recruitment and Intake Specialist is responsible for recruitment efforts to advertise, attract and engage clients to El Barrio services. Provides initial job seeker engagement through intake and eligibility for job seekers interested in workforce services.
Qualifications
Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D. with a minimum of two years of related experience required.
Minimum 2 years relevant exposure to or experience with clients experiencing challenges in finding employment.
Must have demonstrated experience working with electronic platforms (i.e., Microsoft software, internet, databases, and virtual learning platforms).
Requires travel to other facilities and meetings.
Flexible schedule to work outside of normal business hours for program and job seeker needs and to attend trainings and meetings.
Bilingual in oral and written English and Spanish required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Identifies and implements appropriate promotional and recruitment plans that effectively increases job seeker enrollment, in particular but not exclusive to specific target populations.
Maintains visibility within the community promoting El Barrio’s program through events, meetings, and recruitment initiatives.
Screen, interview, complete intake process and verify applicants’ eligibility requirements for the corresponding program. Apply evaluations, tests or any general assessment to program applicants, as applicable.
Be thoroughly familiar with El Barrio
Assist clients for a smooth transition into programs, connecting them with a dedicated care team.
Maintains relationship with contract partners to support and monitor referrals.
Collect, update and maintain data relevant to contract performance, recruiting and intake. Provides data entry support across the Workforce program.
Actively working towards accomplishing and meeting program goals as outlined within contracts, while keeping the job seeker at the front of mind.
Other Job Duties & Responsibilities
Represent El Barrio Workforce Center as needed, attend assigned meetings, and assist with special projects.
