Harm Reduction Volunteer
Role: Volunteers work with paid staff in a team approach to provide harm reduction education and resources needed to help slow the spread of HIV, Hep C, promote access to social and medical services and prevent overdoses.
Hours: One shift weekly, generally about 3 hours, flexible
Days: Monday through Friday, office hours, flexible
Expectations: Minimum 3 month commitment after completion of orientation.
Qualifications:
• Must be philosophically committed to the program and to Harm Reduction
• Must be a good listener
• Must be open-minded
Supervisor: Outreach Supervisor
Site: 12201 Euclid Ave (Uptown Centers)
Responsibilities:
· Prepare supplies and kits (safer sex supplies, safer use supplies) prior to site visits.
