Job Title : Lead Application Developer .NetJob Function : DeveloperLocation : Seattle, WAIndustry : Asset ManagementJob Number : JO-1804-581This leadership position will be responsible for custom application development, business line integration, and industry best practice. The Lead Application Developer is expected to produce custom application solutions by working closely with business users throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. Along with these custom applications, this position will take the lead in improving the current processes in place and recommend / implement changes to the current application environment. This person will be leading a team of other application developers in the areas of requirements gathering, industry best practice, architecture and software development methodology. The responsibilities of the individual in this position include : Lead Scrum teams and serve as a "player coach" in the application architecture and software delivery process - ensure successful project delivery and satisfactionDeliver production quality code in a high-risk trading environment in an iterative manner using Scrum methodology Assist establishing goals in line with departmental objectives and provide lead support to teamEstablish technology standards with the team and other development managersCollaborate with users and other IT teams to continuously improve and evolve the firm's Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture and Software Development Lifcycle (SDLC) practicesEstablish relevant metrics and track performance related to team productivity, code quality and customer satisfactionThe successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following : Bachelor's degree required5 years of experience in leading software development teams and building web-based, high volume websites5 years of experience managing development of technology platforms based in the Microsoft technology stack, including IIS, Windows Server, .NET, and SQL server and integrating open source (nuget) packages5 years of experience in Agile methodologies and supporting techniques, including at least three years managing with an Scrum methodology3 years of experience working at a buy side or sell side firm with experience in development applications in support of portfolio management and trading strategies3 years of experience working with market data providers such as Bloomberg#LI-JW1Experience with financial services, SAS 70 / PCI / SOX compliance is a plus Client Focus - Acts as a trusted advisor with key project and business stakeholdersDrives Results - Stays focused on achieving results even in the face of obstaclesCollaboration - Voices own views openly while also listening to others in collaboration with peers, directs, management, business partners and across organizational unitsDrives Performance - creates the conditions and removes barriers that enable the team to perform at its best; ensures teams are aligned with the organizational goals and company mission and long-term successCommunication - Spends time with key individuals to build relationships that can be used in the future for supportCreates Strategy - Understands the strategic direction set by management and aligns behavior and activities accordingly
