What You’ll Do
We’re looking for volunteers who can
- Research and write investigative articles, profiles, or analysis pieces
- Create video content, short documentaries, or digital explainers
- Identify underreported issues, emerging solutions, or systemic failures worth covering
- Interview researchers, community leaders, and people directly impacted by global challenges
- Help us produce content for our website, newsletter, and social platforms
- (Optional) Support content strategy, SEO research, or data-driven storytelling
We want to cover what’s overlooked, hidden, or misunderstood - things like
- Why sustainable diets are critical to solving the climate crisis
- How student debt is blocking progress toward equitable education
- What it’s like to live in Cancer Alley or Skid Row
- What researchers at MIT or IIASA are quietly building that could change everything
- How global health inequalities show up in vaccine access, nutrition, or infrastructure
- Local solutions or grassroots systems that are quietly working but rarely get coverage
- Deep dives on how money, power, and policy shape systems most people never see
- A curious, critical thinker
- Skilled in research, writing, or content creation
- Comfortable tackling complex topics and making them accessible
- Interested in systems, equity, and how the world really works
- Bonus Experience in journalism, media production, or investigative research
- Bonus Knowledge of sustainability, education, health systems, or global development
- Original articles, blog posts, or investigative briefs
- Short videos, reels, or documentary-style content
- Social media content, data-driven graphics, or story series
- Educational content and analysis pieces for our website and audience
- Content tied to major sustainability, education, or global health topics
- Apply your media skills to real, systemic topics
- Help build one of the only nonprofit-driven, global issue content platforms
- Work remotely, flexibly, and on your own schedule
