We are looking for a seasoned leader who will be reporting directly into the Head of Data Science of Charles Schwab. This role will lead the Conversational AI organization with a primary responsibility of data science support for Schwab’s AI chatbot (the Schwab Assistant). Other models and products and specific focus on NLP / NLU should be expected as business priorities and needs change over time.What you’ll do : Build, lead, mentor, and organize the Conversational AI organization as an expert in NLP / NLU / Generative AI.Directly manage a team of manager(s) and individual contributorsDrive product vision and strategy bringing analytics and AI capabilities to life within Schwab products. Build relationships with key business partners across the firm to understand their priorities, educate on AI, and build product roadmaps to support.Collaborate with cross functional organizations across business and technology to drive alignment and execution to the product vision.Build AI deployment platform requirements to facilitate AI product and business needs. Keep abreast of data, analytics, and AI innovations and share / pursue those applicable to our business and business priorities. Drive innovation based on industry trends and best practices.What you haveRequired Qualifications : BS in a quantitative field (engineering, physics, computer science, etc.)5 years of leadership experience of data science organizations developing and deploying client facing AI models. Directly manage team, not cross functional or dotted line.10 years of experience in AI / ML with knowledge of modern algorithms, statistics, and application of such.5 years of experience with NLP / NLU in a client facing enterprise environment.Experience across the product development lifecycle from strategy, design, testing, to rollout.
