The Charmery is a local hand-crafted ice cream shop and is looking for fun-loving people to be a part of our team!
We scoop some of your favorite classics, like Maryland Mud, Ice Cream Sando, Mint Mountain and have fun with the flavors that make Baltimore so delicious, like Old Bay Caramel. We serve hand-spun milkshakes, sundaes and floats.
Our shops are fast paced and we offer working hours that are flexible for everyone. We are eager to offer opportunities for quick advancement.
We currently have five Charmery locations: The Charmery in Hampden, The Ice Cream Factory at the Union Collective in Medfield, a shop in Towson off of York Road, a walk up window in Federal Hill and a location in Columbia in the Merriweather District.
Daytime Scooper
The Charmery’s Scoopers provide consistent, outstanding service to every customer; have an eye for detail, a willingness to clean, stamina (for the long lines of people wanting great ice cream), and the ability to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Looking for candidates who are available Monday through Friday from 11am to 5 or 6pm. Full Time and Part Time
*This position handles several common food allergens including peanuts, nuts and milk.*
Responsibilities:
*Deliver great service
*Welcome and thank every customer
*Scoop those scoops, craft those sundaes and shake those shakes - all with love
*Make every customer feel special and be of service to all while keeping the line moving
*Learn and then share about what makes The Charmery ice cream so amazing: our ingredients, our farmers and food producers, our people!
*Hustle and work hard to keep shop sparkling, clean, and inviting - front and back, inside and outside
*Become a waffle cone ninja
*When working the register, follow The Charmery’s cash handling procedures
*Wash dishes throughout your shift
*Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
*Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
*Open to working in a strong team environment
*Have great communication skills and a professionally friendly attitude
*Retail or client/customer service experience preferred
*Be able to work in the evenings and weekends as most shifts are closing shifts (Friday and Saturday until midnight and Sunday through Thursday until 11pm)
*Willingness to pick up shifts in other shops on occasion is preferred
*Ability to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis
*Have access to a phone that can text and call
*Have access to the internet
