Organizational Role :
The Business Director is a key client interface and subject matter expert, providing the commercial and technical perspective critical for effective leadership and growth of collaborative benchmarking projects related to Polyolefins.
Driven to employ statistical data analysis as a valuable tool for helping our clients improve their business, the Director takes a hands-on leadership approach to manage the execution of detailed analyses under this program. Responsibilities include involvement with all aspects the statistical analysis, preparation of C-Level presentations of results, and following up on various aspects of the program.
Desired Qualifications :
- 15-20 years of relevant polyolefins experience is required.
- BS Chemical, or Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or related field required; MS or MBA is desirable.
- Significant experience in commercial aspects of the business including knowledge about grades, applications, business management and commercial development.
- Prior experience in Manufacturing, Technology, Business Planning, Business Analysis and / or Business Management.
- Understanding of Key Performance Indicators involved with polyolefin or petrochemical plant operations, supply chain and commercial operations.
- Strong written / verbal communication & presentation skills in the English language.
- Intermediate or higher competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of various statistical approaches to data analysis.
- Capable of multi-tasking, meeting stringent deadlines, and applying significant focus on attention to detail using complex data sets.
- Demonstrated strength in leading teams of professionals.
- Ability to effectively train subordinates and optimize department performance through effective people management and conflict resolution.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
